WebSep 20, 2010 · Check for foam and if there is any let it completely clear. Then start it again for a few seconds…Do that several times. Then jack up the front & get it on stands. Leave the engine off while slowly turning back and forth, stop to stop, a whole bunch of times. See what that does. If none of that does it, then it is possible that you have a leak. WebJan 19, 2010 · For changing power steering fluid you can always just disconnect the rubber line running to the steering box... it will dump ALL of it in one go. Then just retighten and refill! I replaced the steering pump and still is doing the same thing. I flushed the fluid by taking off the return hose at the booster and put ahose to a bottle and when I tap the brakes all I get is foam, I put 2 quarts ... The leaking and foaming are no longer issues but the power steering still does not work. It pumps the fluid around but it isn't creating any pressure.

Our vehicle has nearly 75,000 miles on it and the condition of the oil was very good. It has a nice clear red color to it.
