It isn't meant to be used as a stripper. It's to be used to clean and smooth an old finish while leaving most of the old finish on the piece. You can use steel wool with regular stripper too. WebNov 4, 2016 · If you have a bigger project, download the SDS sheet on this Formby's and then buy the acetone and a painters thinner (not mineral spirits- the stuff that replaces MEK, toluene, etc) and mix it in the same proportions (50/50) works the same at 1/5th the cost.
