Is it possible that you have a low quality alcohol? Craig had mentionned getting a better alcohol that is more expensive than the regular stuff because of the lower water content. Indian head is a bugger to save a gasket from for reuse. But it makes one heck of a seal. You really need it with some peoples gaskets but my gaskets, only sparringly.
